Our approach
Our Approach to Faith-Informed Counseling
Good counseling does not ask you to choose between your faith and real clinical care. We offer both, in the same room.
Faith and clinical practice
Trained counselors, honest faith
Our counselors are trained in evidence-based methods, including EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and somatic approaches. Those methods do the clinical work of therapy: understanding patterns, calming the nervous system, changing what is not serving you.
Alongside that, we make room for your spiritual foundation. For many clients that means prayer, Scripture, and language about grace and forgiveness woven into the work. For others it means simply knowing their faith will be respected.
Faith is welcomed here. It is never forced. You set the pace, and you decide what part of your spiritual life belongs in the room.

How we see people
Holistic Care for the whole person
You are not a checklist of symptoms. You are a whole person—body, mind, soul, relationships, and story. We pay attention to all of it.
That means we ask about sleep, stress, grief, faith, family patterns, work demands, and the things that make you feel alive. Our goal is not just to reduce a symptom; it is to help you move toward health in every part of life.
How we work
God + Science
We believe good counseling honors both the science of the brain and the truth of the soul. Our counselors use evidence-based methods like EMDR, ACT, CBT, and somatic approaches because they work.
We also believe God is real and that healing is part of the Christian story. When you want prayer, Scripture, or conversation about spiritual matters in the room, it belongs there. Nothing is off-limits.
What to expect
From first contact to ongoing care
- 1
Reaching out
You schedule through our secure client portal, where intake paperwork also lives. If you would rather talk to a person first, call us and we will help you find the right fit.
- 2
Your first session
The first hour is mostly listening. You tell us what is going on and what you hope changes. We ask about history, support, and faith, and together we name a starting point. There is no script you have to follow.
- 3
Ongoing care
Most clients meet weekly at first, then less often as things steady. We revisit goals out loud, adjust the approach, and talk openly about progress. Ending well is part of the work, not a failure of it.
Confidentiality, in plain language
What you say in session stays in session. We do not share your information with your family, your church, your employer, or anyone else without your written permission.
There are a few narrow exceptions required by Texas law, which we will explain clearly at your first session: serious risk of harm to yourself or someone else, suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult, and a valid court order.
Scheduling and paperwork happen in a secure client portal. Please keep health and treatment details out of our website contact form and out of email.
